With the help of the 2022 Arts Administration Senior Sem Class, Elon's Department of Performing Arts was part of launching the inaugural Amplify Black Voices Festival! This festival focuses on Black stories and experience in America, with three of the four plays written by Greensboro-based playwrights.
The festival was created in response to the Black Lives Matter movement and desire to share these resources across the eight colleges and universities that were a part of the Festival. With the help of our very own Assistant professor of Arts Administration, David McGraw and leaders from other Universities, the national Endowment for the Arts gifted a grant of $20,000 to launch the festival.
